Y’akoto -  Album "Baby Blues" (2012)

Born in Hamburg Germany as daughter of a well known ghanaian musician and a german mother, Jennifer Yaa Akoto Kieck alias Y’akoto led a nomadic lifestyle beeing raised in Ghana, Carerun, Togo, and Tschad and lived in Hamburg, Lomé, and Paris. The 23- year-old artist believes that in order to truly find yourself someday you have to continuously loose yourself.

Her debut album “Babyblues” makes the listener loose his head with profound, sexy, and bright songs (a fusion between soul, pop and afrobeats) and a powerful voice which some describe as a mixture between Erykah Badu & Nina Simone. At least as good! Incomparable and incredible!
